Il fait le commentaire suivant :
Correspondances à Ponte-Leccia : en tête d'un train mixte Bastia - Ajaccio, la 031 - T Fives-Lille N° 34 fait piètre figure, bien qu'elle bénéficie de soins attentifs de la part de son mécanicien et de son chauffeur, comme en atteste le polissage de son dôme de prise de vapeur et de sa sablière. En fait, rien ne distingue cette scène du spectacle que pouvait offrir le plus obscur des "tortillards", alors que la population corse avait longtemps espéré une véritable "grande ligne".
NB : train mixte veut dire qu'on y mélange wagons de marchandises et voitures de voyageurs (ici en queue de train).
A gauche l'arrière de 2 trains, pour Calvi et Bastia sans doute.

Connections in Ponte-Leccia : ahead a mixed train Bastia-Ajaccio, the 031 T (0-6-2) locomotive n° 34, built by Fives-Lille, is poor-looking, although it is well kept up by the engine driver and the fireman as shown by the polishing of the steam-dome and the sand-box.
Actually nothing differentiate this scene of the sight offered by any less known stopping train, when the Corsican people hoped during a long time a really great line.
NB : mixed train means train with goods wagons and passenger cars (here at the end of the train).
On left, two trains, probably towards Calvi and Bastia.
