Chemin

VENACO Bridge
during construction rather than Venaco at about 1890. Photo by courtesy
of Hervé MURACCIOLI. He wrote this : My great grand-father
was a builder for the railway before building and managing the great
hotel in Vizzavona forest. It is a very interesting picture because
it shoes the different phases for building a bridge. It helped me
to understand the reason of the stone cord at birth of arches used
to wedge the scaffolding. It is exciting to see these workers pose
for the photo and see how they worked in hazardous conditions!
